Special
Fridays: On the
first Friday night each month during the school year, parents
bring their special child to the Parish House at 6 p.m. for
two hours of fun and fellowship provided by volunteers of
the church and students from Elon
University.
Special
Fridays provide:
1) A few hours of together-time each month for parents who
provide round-the-clock care.
2) A safe environment and casual fun, "hanging out"
with church and university youth, supervised by church adults.
3) An opportunity for volunteers to grow in our appreciation
of the gifts of each child and the joy he or she brings to
us.
For more
information, contact Ellie Ketcham at 584-7225 or email
her. You may also contact
the church office.

PFLAG:
(Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) of Alamance
County
Meets the second Tuesday of each month in at 7:30 p.m. in
the Gregory Library.
The PFLAG support group welcomes all family and friends, as
well as gays and lesbians and transgenders themselves. PFLAG
offers a safe confidential space in which to explore feelings
and understandings about the gay experience, especially "coming
out" and what this means to families and other loved
ones. Listen and share as much or as little as you feel comfortable,
knowing that others can understand. PFLAG offers a library
of educational materials for parents, siblings, spouses, for
gays and lesbians, and for organizations which are striving
to be more sensitive. For more information, contact Ellie
Ketcham at 584-7225 or email
her. You may also contact the
