We, the members of Elon Community Church United Church of Christ, believing that everyone is created by God and that we are called as Christians to be an inclusive fellowship, declare ourselves to be an Open and Affirming congregation.
We, the members of Elon Community Church United Church of Christ, cherish our connection with God, each other, our local community, and all creation. Acknowledging that we humans are stewards, not owners, of the earth, this Christian congregation commits itself to greater faithfulness in caring for creation.

Rev. Orwig was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. Randy earned a bachelor's in business administration from University of Toledo in 1982. He felt a call to ministry when he was 19 years old, so after graduation, pursued a Master of Divinity degree at Methodist Theological School.
Rev. Wheeler grew up in Burlington, North Carolina and graduated from Williams High School in 1974. She attended Appalachian State University for two and a half years . . .
Ashely grew up in Western Massachusetts and attended the University of Hartford, in West Hartford, CT where she studied Economics & Finance. While living in Massachusetts, Ashely spent a lot of time volunteering for Special Olympics. Leia Webber is the current Nursery Attendant. She has been working in childcare for 7+ years and her goal is to get her Birth-Kindergarten teaching license. During the week she is a Teacher at The Little School in Hillsborough working with 2 year old's. Leia is a dog mom and has two very spoiled boys at home. She collects CareBears and loves Disney movies. Leia is excited to get to know everyone!
